One of Bara'ah's most notable contributions is her creative approach to alleviating patient stress and fear. Recognizing the importance of creating a comforting environment for patients entering the OR, she designed a simple yet impactful idea: displaying the patient's name and a warm greeting message on a large TV screen in the operating theater.
I am thrilled to nominate my colleague Bara'ah for the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses. She has made a valuable contribution as a member of our nursing team in the Operating Room (OR). Since joining the OR a few months ago, Bara'ah has shown remarkable abilities in learning, professionalism, and teamwork. Her positive attitude, communication skills, and creative thinking have significantly enhanced the patient experience, making her an exemplary member of our nursing staff.
The operating room is a complex and dynamic environment, and each team member requires specific skills. From her first day on duty, Bara'ah has been eager to learn and master her role as a new OR nurse. She is committed to developing crucial skills for her role, and she demonstrates excellent interprofessional skills, the ability to work effectively as part of a team, a high level of organization, keen attention to detail, and strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities. Her commitment to professional growth is evident in her proactive approach to seeking out new knowledge and technical skills. She exemplifies professionalism in every aspect of her daily work. Her ability to remain calm and composed under pressure, coupled with her attention to detail, ensures the smooth operation of our surgical procedures.
