An Outpatient presented for a planned stress test. Barb spoke to and prepped the patient for the test. As the stress test progressed, the patient complained of chest pain. Barb noticed changes in his EKG and immediately helped him to a stretcher. She took charge of helping in this patient's event. While caring for the patient, Barb notified the cardiologist stat. She had an IV started, got cardiac monitor, notified Cath Lab. The patient was treated in the Cath Lab with a very positive outcome.
