Mom told me she gave her many hugs outside my room as she cried. Thank you, Barb, for caring for not only me but my mom.
I / We met Barb last month (June). I came in finding out I had leukemia. I was admitted to the hospital and started on a 7-day / 24-hour chemo. All my nurses were great, but one stood out. B A R B!!! Barb was so kind, sweet, and caring. I am only 26 and Barb treated me like her own. Best asset as a nurse. She came in, was quiet and respectful of me as I slept. Never was loud and always used her little flashlight trying not to wake me, as I was here for a month. I ALWAYS hoped it was Barb to be my nurse. Barb not only cared for me, but she also cared for my mom, who never left my side that entire month. Mom told me she gave her many hugs outside my room as she cried. Thank you, Barb, for caring for not only me but my mom. It is July now. I am cancer free, but I need more chemo to make sure it is all gone. I am in the hospital now for a week – getting more chemo to make sure it is all gone. When Barb came in – I knew I would be taken care of.
I need to come in for a week in August and September. I hope I get Barb again. This hospital is blessed to have Barb. This lady means so much to me and my mom.
