Barb Anglim was my Aunt C's hospice nurse on two separate occasions; originally for a six-month period. During this period, she had developed a special bond with my aunt and with her family. When it became apparent that my aunt required the support of Hospice again, we requested Barb to be her nurse. The day my aunt died, Barb came over on her day off to handle all the final details. She could have easily allowed another nurse to do this, instead she chose to be here. She verbalized to us that she wanted to be the nurse to handle these matters for C's family. She was not just a nurse doing her job but a truly knowledgeable and compassionate nurse who cared about my aunt and her family. She is an outstanding role model and worthy of the DAISY Award.
