No one knows how devastating it is to wake up a self-sufficient adult and minutes later have an injury that leaves you unable to remember simple directions given to you just seconds before. It is frustrating and embarrassing, yet Barbara never hesitated to sit down and take the time to explain my medications or treatment plan even though it had just been explained to me. She was gracious and always made time for my concerns no matter how hectic or busy her day may have been. This made what was a very difficult time for me a little bit easier.
