Barb was nominated by an Anesthesiologist, who said, "Barb was outstanding in handling a difficult situation recently. We had an extremely unfortunate outcome in the OR (mortality). She took it upon herself to contact the family and arrange for the viewing. She also contacted the coroner and communicated the details. Additionally, Barb filled out all of the necessary paperwork while continuing to comfort the family. She was an excellent example of what a dedicated, compassionate nurse (and human being) should be. She took charge without prompting and was exemplary, empathetic and professional."
