A patient lives in a trailer in another city. The patient did not have extra money to pay for private care, and there is no Home Health services that provides care in their city. The patient’s family lives out-of-state and they were unable to provide care. Case manager provided many options, but the patient was not able to pay or move closer to Phoenix and refused to move near his children.  Barb has a pastor friend in that city, and she placed a call. The pastor made an announcement in church, and three elder parishioners volunteered to assist. I was told the patient came to church on Wednesday.
