Barb deserves this award. I was in need of clothes as I didn’t have any, and I was embarrassed by this. But I felt comfortable in speaking up, which in itself says a lot. Barb helped me, with the help of the free clothing closet in Nevada, “Harmony Clothing”, get clothes. She washed, dried, and folded all the clothes at her house for me. She was so humble about this. I cannot believe a nurse would so willingly do this without hesitation. This is the definition of compassionate care that makes Barb an amazing nurse. She listens without judgment. Some might view this as “no big deal,” but her kindness means the world to me. I was able to have clothes in such a fast manner and feel more comfortable participating in my skilled therapy sessions. Barb, I am forever grateful to you! Keep your kind heart, and I hope to pay this forward.
