Barbara is exceptional in all she does. Her attention to my comfort whether it's straightening my blankets, stuffing my pillows, holding my hand when I was feeling sad, making sure I got my meds, and bringing me ice show her extraordinary care and compassion.
She is well respected by everyone she works with. Whenever I would mention her name to others, they always had nice things to say about her. My family is grateful that I was lucky to have her as my nurse. As I spoke frequently about her. They were happy that I was in such good hands.
She was always patient with me and didn't mind repeating things and making sure I understood what she was saying or giving instructions. Not everyone shows that much compassion. Her attention to detail saved me from choking. She noticed that I would throw my pills in my mouth. I do it that way because I want to give them a head start. She worried that I might accidentally cause myself great harm if a pill got caught in such a way that I could stop breathing. From this day forward, I will take my meds more carefully.
She is my "angel" sent to watch over me. She also gave me a packet to fill out for home so if another emergency came up, I could just grab the packet and have my information on hand to bring with me.
I will miss her and think of her kindness every day, four times a day to be exact because I take pills four times a day. Thank you for giving me a way to express my experience with this amazing nurse!
P.S. Every time she goes by my door, she smiles and waves!
