Annie was consistently “on top” of my symptoms and care needs.
I was in the hospital with many medical issues and the nights were the worst. However, the shining light in the darkness was Annie who always came in with a smile and took time to listen to my concerns with her compassion and cared about my experience.

One night, she sat down to not only discuss my needs but also ask me how I was doing, how my husband was doing, etc. We talked briefly about our families and little did she know how that brief encounter helped to calm me so I could rest the rest of the night. She encouraged me to rest, and we developed a plan to minimize people coming into my room between 11 pm and 5 am so I could sleep.

Annie was consistently “on top” of my symptoms and care needs. She even asked me what my thoughts were on medications that I was taking and whether they working or not, and that she would communicate that to the physician. She was my nurse for most of my hospitalization and when I saw her come in, I knew my night would be better. I am so thankful for the exceptional care she provided during my stay.

Thank you for your time and care especially when breastfeeding was such a challenge. Your helping hand made the difference, and you never gave up when I wanted to. Your dedication and soft-touch made me feel special. I really appreciate how you took the time to plan in case my baby did not take to breastfeeding. Before the shift ended, you made sure that both my baby and I were okay and that she latched on. Success! And I felt like I was a good mom because of all your support. You are the best and I want all new moms to have you as their nurse.
