Barbara May was nominated by a Veteran from Gadsden who was admitted for a surgical procedure in early May. The Veteran experienced some mild post-op complications which included nausea, pain and severe itching. Describing his nurse as "his angel in time of need," he credits Barbara for "diagnosing" his problem correctly and quickly and for truly making a difference in his hospital stay. The Veteran also stated that Barbara's compassion, knowledge and astute communication skills were second to none.
