Nichole demonstrated her passion for being a patient advocate recently. There was a difficult patient situation and the family was unsure which path to take. Upon deciding to pursue Dialysis and a feeding tube, complications arose on the scheduling and timing of a procedure. Nichole stood strong and advocated when the patient needed to go and became the voice of putting the patient first. Putting a couple phone calls together, Nichole accomplished what was being attempted for 3 days. Expediting the procedure provided much-needed nutrition for the patient and avoided any longer length of stay and also avoided the costs for calling in staff. Nichole made me very proud and demonstrated her support and love for her patients.
