I went in for a routine vaginal hysterectomy and all seemed to go well until I got to recovery when my heart rate dropped to 20 and my blood pressure kept dropping. Barbara never left my side. I was in recovery for 6 hours before being sent to CCU where they discovered I had internal bleeding and rushed me back to the OR to remove 2 liters of blood. As I was being prepped in the OR, Barbara came in and told me she was there. She was so amazing and caring. Ensuring my every need was being met. She was asked several times if she needed a break while I was in recovery and she stayed with me to ensure I was getting through what was happening. This nurse was amazing and should be noted as an example of what GREAT nursing is. I can't thank her enough for the amazing job she did. It was above and beyond what one would think of as her job.
