My mother is 79 years old and has Alzheimer’s. Barbara, from the start, was compassionate and gentle with my mom. All the nurses are great here please don't get me wrong BUT Barbara went above and beyond for my mom. One example is my mom got very confused and I just couldn't calm her. That is the worst feeling ever when someone you love so very much doesn't or can't relate to what you are saying or doing. This happened a few times during the night. Barbara came in and her demeanor was so warm, and her heart went out to her. She bent down by the bed, so she was eye level and calmed my mother with her smile and loving manner. She took the time and energy to do that for my mom! That is not in her job description. My mom actually remembered her the next evening!! Please for my mom, award Barbara this DAISY Award.
