A St. Luke's employee began choking and could not speak - she stepped out of her office and was in clear distress. Barb immediately stepped into action and without hesitating, started the Heimlich maneuver while another staff member called a code blue. Barb successfully performed the Heimlich and the choking individual was sent to the ED in stable condition. Because of Barb's quick, selfless actions, this individual is back at work and doing well!
