Beata has and continues to touch the lives of patients, visitors, and staff in amazing ways. Through this nomination, I publicly recognize that she has exhibited for years, extraordinary care, competence, compassion, and skill. She has consistently shown a kind and caring nature that comforts both patients and visitors. Her patients and their loved ones would speak with me often, telling how Beata would, with her soft and soothing voice, fully explain how their loved ones were receiving the best care and alleviating fearful emotions that naturally surface during medical emergencies. She would listen carefully to them, empathize and compassionately answer each question or concern. Beata would take the time to build trust incrementally until they would have full faith in the care she delivered for the patient. It wasn't just what she said, but also her kind and loving eyes, her unthreatening approach, and the way they saw her working with other medical staff. They could see how Beata was truly passionate about her work and in the process, helped to heal her patients and serve others. There has always been a positive spirituality about her and she has been referred to as an angel on earth. I agree with that assessment. You can witness Beata sharing her wonderful attributes with staff as well, helping others whenever possible, offering guidance staying past her shift to help when necessary, treating others with kindness, and respect, and being there to offer support when needed the most. She is always aware of her surroundings and has acted to keep non-medical staff safe - once stopping a staff member from approaching a patient who was about to be placed on isolation.
