I needed surgery and a two-night hospital stay for an infected finger. Ms. Beatrix was my nurse for my first two days. I am in the military. My family is back in Florida, worried. I have an amazing group of friends who were able to pop over and visit after work, but being alone in the hospital most of the day can be scary and intimidating, not to mention anxiety-inducing and worrisome. Ms. Beatrix not only made me feel like she trusted me as a patient, but she also made me feel comfortable and cared about (like a friend was watching over me). She chatted pleasantly with me, and we discussed the challenges of leadership we faced in our differing roles. I have been to my fair share of hospitals for myself and my loved ones, and when I say that Ms. Beatrix is a top-of-the-line, best nurse I’ve ever worked with, that is not an exaggeration. I am beyond impressed with her skill, professionalism, and patient care. She deserves every accolade possible.
