Since joining her team, Becca has been so supportive of me in my new role by checking in to see if I have questions or if I need additional orientation or resources.
Becca promotes a positive image of nursing within the organization, the community, and the profession, including recognition, retention, and engagement. Our department has been growing exponentially over the last couple of years. She has been a key player in the development of the new Patient Transfer Center. Becca motivates the staff with her shared vision and enthusiasm, helping them achieve better outcomes for themselves and their patients and families. Becca is attentive to staff concerns and delegates as needed to resolve them. Becca creates an environment where attributes such as trust, compassion, mutual respect, and ethical behavior are modeled and supported. I am proud to have her as my boss.

I just wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for my experience since joining the department. Your guidance and support made me feel incredibly welcome and set me up for success. Your dedication to championing the team has created a collaborative and trusting environment where we all feel valued. So appreciative of how available you are to each of us, taking the time to listen and provide support despite your own demanding schedule. Your outstanding leadership has brought out the best in all of us. Thank you for everything you do!

It has been a pleasure watching Becca grow in this role as a leader. She has taken every challenge and met them all with continued growth and success. She has helped foster a team of excellent staff who feel supported and heard. She has more than doubled the size of our department by onboarding additional central support supervisors and BUCs for the department, and has transformed our PPC department. In addition, she continually advocates for our needs to our CNO. The most significant is the work she has put into changing the PPC/transfer center. Countless hours have been spent on this new center, and she has stood by each of us as we learn this new process. Without her support, our department would not be as successful as it is. She is one of the most honest and caring leaders I have encountered in my years as a nurse. She checks in with each of us daily and frequently and always makes time for our needs.

I am new to the PPC role after 30 years in the PICU, and Becca is my manager. Every interaction I have had with Becca leading up to and including the interview process was exceptional. She is a great communicator, keeping me abreast of the process of joining her team at every step. She is professional and kind beyond comparison, and she comes to the tasks at hand with a "can-do" and "let's figure this out attitude." Since joining her team, Becca has been so supportive of me in my new role by checking in to see if I have questions or if I need additional orientation or resources. In her department, Becca has created a positive, accepting environment that fosters our growth and deepens our knowledge without fear of failure. Since the PPC/House Sup unit is rapidly changing and growing, she has ensured that the changes are rolled out effectively to ensure the best success for all. This has given all of us in the unit the ability to provide the most efficient and best care possible to the outlying facilities, transferring their patients to Rady's. Becca provides weekly updates to the team to keep us all "in the know." Her feedback is always delivered in a positive way that makes the team want to learn and to be the best we can be. Becca deserves this DAISY Award for the positive, compassionate way she leads her team and for creating a successful, strong department.
