I was caring for an elderly patient when her son came in to discharge her home. He started talking about when he was a patient here himself a few months earlier. He had back surgery. He started raving about his nurse up here. After some questions, he verified it was Becki. He said, "I was in tremendous pain, and she worked effortlessly to calm me down and control my pain. She kept saying 'we will control your pain, we will work together, we will get through this,' the whole time she was doing all the work. But by continually saying 'we,' she made me feel well cared for. She was by far the most caring nurse I have ever had. I will always remember what she did for me."
