A patient presented to the Emergency Department with her mother, who was 81-years-old, accompanying her. Previous interactions with health care systems were negative. The patient was ill and required lab work and a CT scan. The Patient became very anxious and developed a panic attack. Nurse Becky stayed with the patient and reassured her. The patient called me about the difference Becky's interactions made in her care saying; "She treated me like a Queen".
