October 2010 Honoree
becky medhurst, RN BSN
My name is Troy Lindaman. In November 2008 I had a very successful double lung transplant at the U of I. I will admit I was not easy to work with as a patient. A nurse named Becky Medhurst took care of me a lot (I specifically requested her). She was very good and kept me relaxed at all times (not easy!) Her caring style truly made a difference in how good I am doing now. Recovery is hard, but critical. Becky made that transition easy. She still makes me laugh when I think about some of the conversations we had. I consider her a friend for life.
She truly made a difference in my life. And I will never forget her or the total experience. I wish her all the success and happiness in life!

Thank you, Becky, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
