It is my pleasure to write this nomination for Becky Mifflin. During the covid surge in late 2020, Becky readily volunteered to come back to CCU to help us meet our critical staffing needs. We had ICU patients on different overflow units throughout the hospital and Becky would float to any of these locations where her expertise was most needed. She adapted and readjusted quickly to the changing demands, and always sought to do more to ease our way. Becky volunteered to come in even for a few hours on her days off to help in whatever capacity she could, and she did so with a smile. Becky is an expert clinician and a caring compassionate nurse which is well appreciated by our patients/families and the care team alike. She is a great team player and always lent a helping hand wherever the need was. Looking back at those times when things looked bleak, it is people like Becky who came in willingly to support us that got us through each day and made our team stronger, and brought our St. Jude family closer. Becky truly exemplifies our core values and is truly deserving of this nomination.
