I was a direct admit for induction, Becky was my night shift nurse and did an extraordinary job helping and supporting me through my labor. As a nurse at St. V's I understand what it takes to be an outstanding nurse and that we are rarely thanked for the care we provide on a daily basis. Becky demonstrated excellence by her knowledge of labor and induction. She was compassionate and coached me through each stage of the labor. She was respectful and provided me dignity while I labored, rubbed my back and helped to keep me motivated. Even my husband said she deserves recognition. She even stayed for an extra few minutes to see if I had a boy or a girl since I delivered at 7:37 am. She didn't just pass me off to the next shift. I understand that these are just attributes of being a Labor and Delivery nurse, but Becky was awesome and went above and beyond. Thank you, Becky!
