Having a baby in the NICU is very emotionally taxing, and knowing there is a nurse who will love and care for your child is reassuring.
Becky was an absolutely amazing nurse for my baby; she cared for her as if she were her own. She also cared about my concerns and went above and beyond to ensure they were addressed. My baby is not much of a complainer and did not cry very loudly or for very long when she did cry, so her feeding cues were sometimes easily missed by other nurses, understandably.
Becky helped come up with a plan and talked to the right people so my baby would be taken care of. She knew what my baby was capable of and able to do, and she fought for her. Becky is a good example of a nurse for the others to look up to and aspire to be like. She will always be my number one choice to care for my child, and anyone would be lucky to have her as their nurse.
Bringing relief to stressed-out parents who need to have someone to trust to take care of their baby is no small task. Having a baby in the NICU is very emotionally taxing, and knowing there is a nurse who will love and care for your child is reassuring. Being able to go home to take a nap, not needing to worry about who is caring for your child, and feeling confident that your child is being cared for are good feelings.
