Becky Teising, who works in the SICU at Franciscan St. Francis Health-Indianapolis, was nominated by a co-worker. The wife of a patient spent many hours sleeping in the waiting room for days. Recognizing this, Teising tried to get her a complimentary hotel room for an evening to give her a comfortable, restful night of sleep. She was unable to get a complimentary night, so she booked a room for the patient’s wife and paid for it herself. “Becky is a very good nurse with a big, compassionate heart,” said the co-worker who nominated her.
