Becky was nominated for the DAISY Award by a Cardiac Rehab patient who wrote:
I was admitted to Passavant Hospital and that was followed by Open Heart Surgery and weeks of Rehab. During that time I met and worked directly with many wonderful UPMC professionals. One of those, RN Becky Wyman, has been there throughout my life changing event.
The care at UPMC has been very good, and RN Becky Wyman clearly shines as outstanding. When I describe her as “outstanding”, I am not only referring to the care I experienced from her, but the personal attention and compassion I experienced and witnessed on a daily basis with other patients.
Regardless of the need or situation, Becky approaches everything with a smile, a compassionate ear, and impressive knowledge and expertise. She is definitely a very valuable asset to the team of professionals at UPMC Passavant.
Ms. Wyman’s approach to professional medical care takes UPMC’s image to a high, solid level of compassionate care. I feel very thankful that I have been a recipient and witness to that exemplary performance.
I am thankful I relied on UPMC for medical care and equally thankful I met an ICU nurse that made sure I took the necessary steps to have a successful recovery. Becky shows a true dedication to her role and does it with dignity and kindness. That creates an atmosphere of a true partnership between UPMC and the patient.
