I am a mother of two boys, 3 and 6 years old. I came in when my 6-year-old was very ill. He could not stand, feeling dizzy and weak. We were admitted towards the evening, and Belinda was our nurse. The first night was hectic because my boy needed constant check-ins for his temperature and intravenous fluids. Belinda didn't show any frustration.

I am a foreigner, and I was amazed by the kind of care she gave to my son. She kept on assuring me that it was ok to call anytime I needed help. One thing that stood out is that during the night, when my son wanted to poo, she had to move him with the pc where his IV fluids were. I told her maybe it was best to disconnect everything to make her work easier. She said it was ok because if she disconnected for some time, it would mean another prick or poke on one of his hands to get another IVF fixed.

Well, I thought in my heart that it was too short for a blockage, but indeed it happened. One of the daytime nurses disconnected for some time, and my son had to go through the pain of getting another prick, yet he had already had several of them. I was surprised she is also a mother of two boys. It was a good connection.

Thank you, Belinda, for all of your support.
