Ben has been an ICU nurse for over 15 years at Shore Medical Center and also works at Acuity in Atlantic City. He works five graveyard shifts a week and never once does he complain. He is helpful to his coworkers and always takes the time to help and teach the new person. His coworkers call him “Dr. Ben” because of his efficiency and knowledge of any nursing topic ever. He doesn’t like to be called a hero because he is simply “doing his job”.
When COVID-19 hit, he didn’t bat an eye or look for praise, he continued to show up and be there for his patients and coworkers. He goes above and beyond for his patients and works harder than anyone I know. He is truly a great person who I look up to and I frequently come across people under his care who have told me the difference he has made in their own life. Ben is compassionate and devoted to his career.
