Ben Eldridge, RN BSN

A patient's family nominated Ben Eldridge for being attentive, responsive, and supportive during this young patient's cancer journey. The patient decided to forego her last chemotherapy treatment but wound up in the hospital due to some complications. She missed her opportunity to "ring the chemo bell," signifying she had completed her chemotherapy. Ben visited the patient in the emergency room to offer support and strength and followed up with the patient once she was admitted to her room to recover. Ben brought the "bell" to her in the hospital and presented her with her "chemo graduation" certificate. The family and patient were so moved by Ben's compassion and kindness. They referred to Ben as the patient's "earth angel".
