Although I'm sure that nurses see their fair share of RSV patients in infants, it's a rather terrifying and emotional experience for parents. After going from a doctor's visit to the ED to being admitted to the hospital for several nights, this mom wasn't in a good place. Ben demonstrated the most compassion and care not only for my daughter but ensured we, as a family, had what we needed and understood what was happening every step of the way. He took time to thoroughly explain what he was doing, why he was doing it and provided additional information that helped reassure us that our daughter was getting the right care she needed to get better. He did this with each time and thing he did and didn't hesitate to re-explain when my husband, grandparents, etc. asked questions or weren't present when he originally explained things. He is, in my opinion, an excellent example of an extraordinary nurse.

Ben always went out of his way to make sure I was feeling okay and checked in on me a lot. The best thing he did for me was finding my $150 retainer in all the dirty trays up front.
