When B was transferred to Children's Hospital Ben was the air nurse who came and got him. Ben was very concerned about him being airlifted and away from us. He was very kind and kept us informed by phone when they left the ambulance and got on the helicopter at Lafayette. They also let us know when they arrived at Children's Hospital.
When B left his oxygen was way too low. We were informed by the doctor when we arrived here that Ben had brought his oxygen back up on the flight. While this may not seem like a lot or that he is just doing his job, to parents who are very worried about their child, this means a lot. When Ben is in the PICU he comes by to say hi and check on B. He is also very kind and compassionate to all of us. This hospital is lucky to have him.
