Ben Reams, RN

I want to recognize Ben Reams from the step-down unit for his extraordinary care for my son. He was kindhearted, compassionate, and attentive not just to the immediate needs but to other aspects as well. His caring attitude goes above and beyond. My son was newly diagnosed with cancer, and he was so devastated and was crying upon hearing the news. Ben arranged for a Chaplin to talk to my son. He always ensured my son was comfortable and never let him wait to go to the bathroom when called. He assisted my son with the shower and changed the bedding while my son was in the shower room. He facilitated the hospital transfer of my son to Moffitt Cancer Center by communicating back and forth with the doctor, case manager, and me about the progress of the hospital transfer. He was always readily available and frequently checked on us, asking if we needed anything else. He is very personable and professional in his demeanor. Confident in his skills and knowledge. My son and I feel so special and cared for by Ben. This company is privileged to have Ben, and he is surely an asset to TMH.
