My husband had a total knee replacement. The side effects from anesthesia made it necessary for him to remain in hospital for the night following the procedure. This was completely unexpected. Ben proved to be a ray of sunshine in our otherwise cloudy day.

He smiled his way through the door as he attended to my husband, making him feel comfortable and cared for. For awful times such as after a major surgery, the smiling face singing in the hallway can truly have healing powers. We are grateful for his professionalism in administering meds, reviewing future care needs and his positivity as he tried to resolve our unexpected issues.

I recently spent four days in hospital in Vermont attending to my brother’s declining health, and on the last day, his death. The last place I wanted to be was in a hospital room, anywhere. When I mentioned this to Ben through tears, he immediately reached out to hug me, providing the human touch I so needed. He is truly an asset to Dosher’s care.

We hope he's is placed in a teaching position within your nursing community, so that others can learn from him. Our community will be the beneficiaries.
