I had surgery and it was supposed to be a 1-night stay. I have an infection in the foot so the Doctor wasn't going to send me home. My doctor didn't order any of my medications or for my sugars to be checked.

When the next shift came in, I talked with my nurse Ben about my concerns since they were keeping me for more than a night. He got right on it and started to contact whom he had to concerning my medications and my sugar levels. Ben went above and beyond. My sugars were high and I needed insulin. If it wasn't for Ben going above and beyond I don't know what would've happened. He is the definition of a caring, amazing, and attentive nurse. My daughter even gave him a call to check up on my sugar levels and BP medications. He explained the Doctor did place the order for my medications. She appreciated his dedication to getting on it and talking with the Doctor so we were all on the same page! Ben was an amazing nurse and I am grateful he made sure to call the Doctor and save me! Excellent above and beyond!
