Bendie Hintz’s co-worker wanted to commend him for going above and beyond for a patient who was transferred to our hospital from a different facility. Unfortunately, this female patient’s hair was knotted, and the team was unable to brush it out. The staff ended up having to cut her long hair. With everything else this patient has been through; she was really upset her hair is now short. To help the patient feel more girly and feminine, Bendie bought her some hair supplies and accessories to put in her hair. The patient lit up with happiness when Bendie helped put the burettes in her hair. When patients are in such a hopeless situation, the smallest acts of kindness can go a long way!
