Bendu has gone above and beyond the already exceptional care and treatment I was receiving to ensure that I felt supported and comforted during a very challenging time in my life battling Guillain-Barré syndrome. She would bring me coffee in the morning after her shift, knowing it lifted my spirit. She would also have the other staff bring it for me on her days off. She took the time to find out the food and drinks I liked and provided them to improve my appetite, which had been compromised. It was the many acts of kindness that made a huge difference in my recovery.

On Thanksgiving, she ordered and surprised my family with dinner to bring some normalcy on a holiday that we could not spend together at home. Her ability to balance nursing care with compassion is extraordinary! I will never forget the comfort she brought to me with both her nursing skills and her heartfelt actions.

These actions show that she truly cares about her patients. As an RN myself, I can tell you that she is a shining example of what nursing is all about.
