Nomination #1: I am a metastatic melanoma patient. I first arrived at the emergency room with intense nausea, extreme back pain and constipation. When I was moved to OBS, Ben had already looked at my chart and knew exactly what symptoms I was fighting. Ben worked diligently to get my pain under control with palliative care and oncology, before I was admitted to the floor. On Wednesday, I went to my first radiation treatment and again the fractured vertebrates in my spine put me back in the ER and then in OBS. Ben remembered me from the week before and came directly to my room. He knew exactly what to do. Ben is very attentive and takes the time to get to know his patients’ needs. Thanks Ben!

Nomination #2: It is not very often that you get the most wonderful care these days, but my nurse at Banner Gateway was off the charts!!! Ben’s dedication is sincere and evident when you meet him. Professionalism and caring are evident when you encounter Ben. He answered all of my questions completely and in such a way that a 75-year-old woman could understand. I am also hard of hearing and Ben was sincere in explaining all of the information. I have had many nurses over the years and Ben is, without a doubt, the best nurse I have ever had! He is very thorough and he treated me like a member of the family. I wish you could choose nurses like Ben, as family! Thank you for having such a wonderful employee!
