June 2019 Honoree
benjamin whitman, RN-BC, BSN
I was transferred from the VA Hospital to MCR via ambulance. When I arrived, I was very frustrated from being in pain for nearly 9 hours. I was afraid of the diagnosis they had given me, however, when I arrived at MCR I went into testing and found out that I was going to be ok. My first hours were in the ICU where I received very good care. The next morning, I transferred to the Trauma Unit where I met Benjamin Whitman, RN. I am almost deaf and he was very helpful, skillful, and compassionate. I could tell by his demeanor that he really enjoys his profession. He was extremely helpful to me, especially after such a hard night before. He was very gracious and helpful to my wife who spent some time with me. Mr. Whitman was extraordinary. I feel he will be a good RN for a long time. I thank you for this opportunity to tell you about such a good employee!
Thank you, Benjamin, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
