February 2022 Honoree
Bentley Munsell, BSN, RN CEN
Bentley wasn’t just doing his job, he was trying to educate us about my husband’s disease along with supporting him in any feelings he was having towards this new symptom in his disease. It was our first visit to the ER with a high potassium level to receive medication to reverse the high Potassium. Bentley was very reassuring and guided us through the process. The empathy this nurse showed to us has left a huge impact on how the rest of the visit went.

Our nurse Bentley, and Dr. D were amazing in helping us feel comfortable and getting our 3-year-old stitched up. He ended up needing 2 stitches after tripping while walking his bike down the driveway! This kid has been going to the local skate park with his balance bike for nearly a year now, and of course, he hurt himself walking his bike! It was super scary for us and I think my fiancé was more scared than he was, but he kept it cool and everyone made us feel so comfortable. Bentley was the first we met with upon entering and I am grateful for that!
