My husband was hospitalized due to an abscess in his liver and a lesion on his sacral portion which caused him to have severe chills, and on-and-off fever. He was there for one week and had issues with his sugar level, and fever and they have to do CT scan, MRI, and X-rays to pinpoint the cause of his fever and chills and why his blood sugar is up and down. Bentung is an example of excellent nursing care by demonstrating her expertise and empathy for patients and families. She also offers spiritual support to both patients and families. She is very prompt in responding to her patients’ needs even if they are short-staffed. She clearly explained every step of the process of his care from medicine, doctors' orders, results, and my husband’s progress.

Even after his discharge, she made herself available in case he needed guidance or he have questions which were utilized when she called the pharmacy for us because of some misunderstanding between the pharmacy and the prescription. She definitely became like a family member to us through the way she made him feel on how she demonstrated her concern for my husband’s well-being. She highlighted this important information and she made sure that my husband and I clearly understood the instructions on his discharge paper. The other nurses that were mentioned also contributed to his care and they are just as good at their job while he was at the hospital.
