Benzy came to speak with us to explain the process of offering memory bags, which upset me. She gave me a huge hug. Her voice is so kind and caring.
As soon as Benzy met Mum and me, she couldn’t help out any harder if she had tried. We were expected to be told today that Dad would be put on end-of-life care. Benzy listened to why we needed to get Dad moved to Derby or home.

She went straight to the doctor to initiate this. Before long, the ball was rolling with the request for a fast discharge. As the junior doctor quickly called the melanoma registry, it was great teamwork, and we all felt very well looked after and listened to.

As it's the weekend, we know it will take more time. After EOL was decided, Benzy came to speak with us to explain the process of offering memory bags, which upset me. She gave me a huge hug. Her voice is so kind and caring. I told her she really is a lovely nurse. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for being so kind to us on the day of our lives when we received the worst news.
