I was very impressed with her and have so much love for her. I wish I could give her the world because she deserves it.
I met her within days of my son being admitted into the hospital at Aurora St. Lukes. My first impression of her was WOW, she is really very attentive to my son's needs and answers questions using terms that are easy to understand. She also made sure to ask me if I had any questions and if there was anything she could do for me. You can tell when a person loves what they do and have a passion for taking care of others. She displayed compassion, empathy, and professionalism each and every time I visited my son who was there this year. She is the type of nurse who checks in on her patients, you will never need to push the call button when she’s on duty. I would ask my son before I came arrived to visit if she was on duty. Because I knew if she was there everything was and would continue to be great. The other nurses on the unit were great as well but she was the standout as she always went above and beyond and always make sure she checked in on my son as well as any family that would visit. My family would complement her service. I wanted to do something special for her and I didn’t know what to do. I was very impressed with her and have so much love for her. I wish I could give her the world because she deserves it. My son is home now after having 2 amputations on the same leg due to a very bad infection. Given everything he experienced during his stay I feel like if it wasn’t for her he would have not been as content as he was. He trusted her to the fullest with his care. He would even text me after she returned from her off days with a picture indicating how happy he was that she was there. He would make sure to let me know when she was on duty. Lastly, I just want to say, it’s very evident that her skills in patient care are not something that was taught to her through training classes, it’s something that’s in her. She is the most genuine, caring, and compassionate person I have ever met. Because of her consistent care, my son felt safe in her care.
