I was hospitalized with neurological symptoms that were frankly the most terrifying experience of my life. Not only did she explain all my medications, which I was so nervous about because there were so many I had never heard of, but her presence was just a source of comfort. She took the time just to touch my foot or leg to let me know I would be ok. She never lost her professionalism while showing kindness. She addressed all my medical concerns and needs, answered my questions without making me feel she was annoyed, and always provided reassurance that I was going to be okay.

One time, I got very sick, and she called a code, and I saw just the start of a tear. It was not unprofessional in any way; it was amidst her doing her job 100% effectively and reviving me, never missing one perfect nursing step, and still caring for me as a person.
