I am the daughter of a current patient here at Riverside University Medical Center. My family and I had the pleasure of being helped by Bernade Frazer. She provided my father with exceptional care. She was very inclusive of me and my family in my father's medical care.
Bernade was very attentive. It seemed she was always close by, either in the room or at a close distance outside the room. When she was performing any type of procedure, she made sure to speak loudly and clearly to my hard-of-hearing father. She also always kept us included in the explanations of every procedure.
She always kept a positive attitude. From the time I met her to the end of her shift, she was always pleasant and kind. Even when my father's care became demanding, or she was dealing with her other patients, she remained poised and polite.
Bernade was informative when I first came to the hospital to visit my dad. Bernade took the time to explain the vitals monitor machine, where his numbers should be and what the numbers meant. Whenever she passed medication to my father she would let me and my mother know what they were, what they were for and the exact dosage. We are so grateful for that.
Bernade performed above my expectations and is well deserving of this award. My family is very appreciative of the care she provided for my father, and we would be happy to have her again as his nurse. She definitely lifted a portion of the burden of having a loved one in the hospital. We thank her for her services and are happy my father was under her care. Thank you Bernade.
