She spoke words of wisdom, peace, and love, which made my family and I know that everything was going to be okay and that our son was in the best care possible.
Being first-time parents is a blessing that has ups and downs. Having to leave the hospital without our baby was very hard. I always imagined baby and I leaving the hospital together, seeing my husband putting baby in the car and just having our family together after delivery. Well, for us, we left, and our baby boy had to stay. I was in tears and disbelief, but Bernadette was there for not only our baby boy but for all my family and me. She made me feel at peace, and knowing that she was going to be my baby’s nurse throughout his stay was another blessing. She spoke words of wisdom, peace, and love, which made my family and I know that everything was going to be okay and that our son was in the best care possible. Thank you Bernadette! Thank you, Rio Grande Regional, for an excellent team, care, and kindness!

Bernadette made my anxiety disappear with the amount of love and care she demonstrated as my son’s nurse. Not everyone is as warm and sweet, and when it comes to our babies, that means the world.

I loved my nurse! She treated both my baby and me so well. She was attentive and on top of all my needs. My experience at the hospital was the best, thanks to her.
