Bernadette always goes above and beyond when taking care of her patients. She goes the extra mile to ensure that her patients are clean, safe, and that all families are taken care of and informed throughout the whole stay in CVICU.

She had a patient who was very sick and weak but he wanted to get out of bed and sit down, Bernadette quickly coordinated with the physical therapist to make it possible. They brought down a Hoyer lift to place the patient in the chair, so the he could sit down and the family could visibly see how he was doing. Bernadette made sure that everything went smoothly and that the patient was safe the entire time.

This is how Bernadette practices, always making sure the patient and their family come first. For Bernadette her patients always come first, she ensures that all orders are correct, and her patients and family members are kept informed of the plan of care. Bernadette is a high performer, a great team player, and is always a positive individual for the CVICU team.
