I brought my daughter to West Suburban; however, while there my mom called stating she had shortness of breath, swelling in her legs and feet and chest pain. I brought her to the hospital as well. She was taken to the back immediately; she has CHF as well as many other ailments. The staff was very helpful and polite. My daughter was released, and my mom was admitted.
I would like to acknowledge Bernadette, as she took great care of my mom. My mom even said that she would move in on that floor if she could come and go as she pleased because the food was very good. The cafeteria staff was very well trained. I work at a hospital and I saw everyone go through the steps of patient verification. My mom has been at Stroger Hospital for over 30 years. Her care was so great that she has now changed to West Suburban. My mother is not one to be easily swayed. Her stay at West Suburban was so great that she wants to become a part of the family.
