Bernardine received the DAISY Award for her decision to continue to acquire knowledge throughout her extensive nursing career. After 40+ years of dedication to nursing, she stills demonstrates a positive attitude toward the constant changes in technology. Starting out her career with minimal charting, she wanted to experience the electronic health records before her retirement. With the challenges that are faced with EHR, most consider this an oportune time for retirement. However, Bernardine is bravely determined to experience this technology prior to ending her nursing career. She is such an inspiration.
