Bernice Afriyie, RN

Bernice was the nurse I had as I was brought upstairs from the ER. She was extremely patient with my many family members and their well-meaning but sometimes overbearing personalities. She was kind and caring. Bernice made sure orders were put in so I would be seen by a GI specialist. When I ran out of urinary pads, she was cutting up depends to fit my plus size underwear. She ensured orders were put in for respiratory so I could have my CPAP. She constantly checked on me throughout the night and helped me to the bathroom, always respecting my dignity and privacy. Bernice made sure my daughter had pillows and blankets when she stayed the night. I want to recognize Bernice for her hard work and dedication to her profession. Bernice was called to be a nurse.
