“I was taking 5 minutes on the Mezz and saw Bernie with a mom and baby who were being discharged. Baby was crying up a storm. Mom was tenuous at comforting baby. Bernie gently and sweetly showed mom how to rock baby in car seat. Moved baby and mom to a quiet area in lobby talked with mom and soothed baby. Mom was anxious waiting for ride. Once both mom and baby calm and soothed ride arrived, and off they went. Not Bernie's role to do transport. It was one of those very sweet moments that made me proud to be a nurse. For me it was a great moment.”
